BOAT TRIPS - Catch a boat ride from a choice of vessels - Sam, Otter, Rachael and Phoenix all doing the short 'jolly' with New Horizons on the longer Heritage Trip . And it's free! Just grab a ticket and wait (queues at busy times) for your boat to come in, then take you through the beautiful green tunnel along the canal. The Heritage Trip, with commentary, goes to Bugsworth Basin, where there is a vintage boats and engines rally over the same weekend.

* Whaley Bridge Band, under musical director Marcus Jones, are playing 'at home' for a second day with a great traditional sound for an outdoor event

meaning to the phrase 'Jazz on a Summer's Day'
* The Whaley Choir, also on a return visit, demonstrating their disciplined and totally enjoyable style

the Hare and Hounds Classic Vehicles Association,
whose 15th Peaks and Dales Run is on
Sunday 19 June, finishing at Buxton Pavilion

NewsFlash - photo show
W3 is launching a photography competition at this year's event. A display of work
by Tony Whittle and others will take place in the Mechanics' Institute over the
weekend. Details about the competition, which will run through the following year,
will then be available. If you have work you wish to be considered for the exhibition, please e-mail tony@acworkwear.com
